Another Day.

I woke up from hearing that repeated ring that came from my alarm clock, wishing I could’ve gone back to bed. As I forced myself to get up, that irritating head rush decided to visit me again causing me almost to trip over my shoes that were left by my bed last night. After fixing myself up in the bathroom I got dressed and headed downstairs. I never really enjoyed the morning walk I had to attend every other day, but I went towards the door to endure the stuffy, moist weather I had to plod through. After avoiding the racist dogs that only bark at white people I reached home, had breakfast and devotion with the family and hopped into the shower. I soon got dressed into some comfortable clothes knowing that I’d be home all day. Home- school has it’s advantages and disadvantages. I enjoy listening to music whenever I please and having more personal time than you would get at regular school. I do wish I had a few more people to talk to than just the family, I really love them but having friends to talk to is enjoyable (which makes me glad for connections like facebook). The day goes on as I start school, and another day of my life continues.

This Night.

They move to and fro,
her dress like the white doves
that sing though the night.
His feet steady as she twirls around,
he’s dreamt of this moment since they first crossed sight.
Hand in hand they sway to those notes
that the piano play like a flock of birds
traveling east to west.
The lake glints as the stars glisten upon it,
this night is ravishing, so breath taking.
The dance begins to fade
as the clock hits one.
Her tears set about to fall
like rain descends from the sky.
They drift apart leaving in disappointment
for this night has ended.
